Hey guys, I have the 2006 fundeck GS202 with the Tennessee Trailer. Does anyone know what type of winch strap I need. I know the boats not light but not as heavy as some others. So I was wondering do I need the cheap bass pro shops one or do I need a heavy duty one? Also what rating would be nice also.

@pmracing. The rule of thumb for a winch strap is half the weight of your boat. If the boat weighs 3600lbs, then get a minimum 1800lb or greater rated winch/strap.
However, the common mistake is people use just the strap for holding the bow for trailering. At minimum, there should be a safety chain on the front attached to the bow ring and fastened to the winch post.
In addition, in the same way that you strap down the transom at the back of the trailer, you should also use a similar strap for the bow as well. This removes the winch/pulley/strap for holding the front load of the boat.
Hopes this helps.
