2013 SD 187 Water ski tow pole

My 187 came with a water Ski tow pole, the warning label on it says for water ski towing only, not for use with inflatable towable's. I take this to mean that you should not pull water tubes with it. Anyone have any input on this? also is pole permanently affixed or is it removable? As usual, thanks for any and all input.

yes UltraGlide the warning label has been discussed in this forum several times. Short version: Ski pole is for a single skier or wakeboard. Larger stuff like tubes and multiperson inflatables should be towed from a "Y" harness attached to the eye bolts in the transom. The shock load when one of those things plows under will damage a ski pole.
