Trolling motor for a 2014 FD198 OB

I have a new FD198 OB ordered. I also have a new Minnkota Edge 55 (12v) that was given to me. Based on my research, it sounds like the power of a 55#, 12v trolling motor may be marginally ok for a FD198. Will the Minnkota Edge 55 control this boat ok? If you have concerns, what are they?

@bruceroyerHere is a recent thread with a bunch of information I've provided to another member on here. I have a SS188 and its running a 12V 55# thrust PowerDrive V2. It allows me to navigate around shoals, cross the bay (less than half mile across) and move with ease, however in a strong current or medium to heavy wind I would consider it a little undersized. But, because of how I fish, it does just fine and suspect if you'd be using yours in a similar fashion it would be similar.------------------------------------------------------------------------------2010 Hurricane SS 188 OB

Thank you nquirk. It is reassuring to know that you are running the same size motor on a similar size boat.
