I have a 226 ref. Got a little close to the mangroves in southwest Florida while fishing. Tore holes in the vinyl bolster on the outside of the port front side. Question is,how to repair?

I have done a lot of research recently because I am developing a tear in the top of one of the front seats. I found out that it is extremely hard to repair to the factory look without proper tools. From what I have read it will be nearly impossible to match the color/design of my seats. I have conceded that I am going to have to have someone repair or recover the seats. They do sell patch kits but I have not found one that I like the look of yet. Let me know if you find something that you like that I might have missed.
Where abouts are you in Florida. I am up in the northern Pinellas area.

If you want to avoid replacing the entire vinyl panel on the seat, the automotive business has been using people that repair vinyl and leather seats and dashboards for years. You may want to call a few dealers (used car dealers use them the most) in your area to find out who there might be in your area. They are usually mobile and come to you. There is also franchises that do this kind of work too, like Dr. Vinyl.
