Fun Deck 201 - 20 or 25 inch shaft?
I have a 1999 Fun Deck 201. Currently has a Honda BF130 with a 25 inch shaft. I found a BF150 with a 20 inch shaft for a good price. Does anyone know if I can use a motor with a 20 inch shaft on my boat?

@omar174. I don't believe you'll be able to mount the engine low enough to use a 20" shaft. I believe for the hull you have a 25" will be required. The cavitation plate should align closely with the deepest point of the transom. Measure that height (from the highest point to lowest point on the transom) If that is no more than 20 inches, you may get away with it.

Thanks Nquirk. You are very helpful.
I'll measure it next time I see my boat. Hopefully it will work, I wouldn't mind an extra 20 horses.

Hope it'll work.... Also realize that if it is, you may be limited in the power trim capabilities on it as well.
