Serious discoloration on my vinyl seats when my boat cover is on

I have noticed that when my boat is covered the top portion of my vinyl seats turn almost a brown or rustic color. I think its from the heat the boat endures from the hot Florida sun. Anyone know of how to prevent this?

Unfortunately it's not just the heat, it's more the humidity.  What you're describing sounds like mold and mildew related discoloration.
