Hey people I'm new. The tilt button on the actual motor no longer functions. . Neither up or down works ...it just makes a click noise. Idk what it is. The boat works darn good and has NEVER had a problem since day one back in 07 when we got her new. It's a 07 Yamaha 115 four stroke. What is it guys..? I heard maybe a relay but idk. Thanks

Does it work of the trim button on the throttle and that its just the trim button on the motor itself?------------------------------------------------------------------------------2010 Hurricane SS 188 OB

The button on the throttle doesn't move it either nquirk...something weird happened though the other day. I started to physically move the entire engine up and down with my hands as if to shake it AND THE THING STARTED WORKING AGAIN.. And 5 minutes later it didn't work anymore.

If it doesn't work on either you've either got a bum connection to your trim motor or the trim motor is sticking/failing. The fact that you pulled up and down and it started/stopped working might lead to it being a stuck ram on your trim motor. Have you checked the fluid levels of the trim motor.
Here is an interesting read.

Here is the owners manual as well

No I haven't nquirk...I'm barely trying to get familiar with these things since my dad no longer maintains the boat. I recieved it flawless and don't want these little problems to start piling up..i went through the manual but I didn't say where to check the fluid levels on the trim motor as you said. But I'm reading and researching. .awesome and very helpful link you provided me. Thanks

The rods definitely need some of that Yamaha lube for sure after reading that article.

When you say stuck ram on the trim motor do you mean those rods? I realize I'm probably asking dumb questions but I really wanna understand what you mean and fix it while trying not to spend on something unnecessary.
-
However I will spend on whatever is needed. . I love this boat

Yes, the rods are referred to as rams. Tomato, tomatoe (doesn't come across well typing it :O )
I have a Mercury outboard but the cylinders that the rams push out of typically have a fluid fill cap.
I've included a link that should give you some idea of what you're looking for however it may be different on your engine

Lastly, when you use the tilt/trim button, does the pump make any noise whatsoever?------------------------------------------------------------------------------2010 Hurricane SS 188 OB

No it doesn't make any noise at all..just clicks. I found the little cap where tilt/trim fluid goes. I'm gonna level the boat and add very little and release any air. Everything's making some sense now
