Removing stuck pedestals

I have a 2007 GS 232 hurricane and the fishing seat pedestals are stuck. How can I remove them?

    My pedestals just slide into the base plate and don't have any lock mechanism on it, maybe yours is the same  I probably would spray both the outside and inside of the post where it meets with the base with PB Blaster (or some other penetrating oil), let it sit for a bit, then give it a try.

    Ditto what cjjjdeck advised as I just wrestled with the same issue.  Mine were slide in so I sprayed them, move 'em around and repeated until they pulled free.  They can be seriously stubborn though, took me three days to bust them loose.
