Anchor Light on Bimini loose

Last year I raised my motor while the bimini was all the way down and the motor hit the light on top of the bimini rail. No matter how tight I get the screw, it always comes loose. I think the motor bent the shaft of the light and the opening that slides onto the bimini rail is not snug. Should I get a new light and shaft or larger screw?
Thanks,
Chris

The screw on the base of my bimini light does not make it a tight connection or stiffen the pole to the base, it always has a bit of movement. Take a closer look at the base and see if it might be the damaged part. You might have pulled the screw through the base effectively reaming out the mounting hole. I would try the bigger screw path first, you can always purchase a new light assembly.2012 SD237 I/O Mercruiser 5.0L MPI ECT/ Bravo 32012 Load Rite Elite Tandem axle trailer
