have a 228 model know looking to buy..why is the 226 model only have a 7'7" beam and the shorter 216 model have a 8'6" beam--kind of stupid..using in the bay and I need the width for a better wide but do not want to downsize from what I have..making me look at different manufacturers..what is the reasoning behind it..can't think of a reason
