I put the post in and sat on seat and can not get post out of base attached to boat??? Front seat of 188 sundeck 2012

Welcome to the owners forum!
I would try spraying something like PB Blaster or WD40 around where the post meets the base and also spray into the interior of the post by pulling the seat off the pedestal and access it by using the holes that the seat lock snaps into. Then try pulling it out by grabbing the post. It that doesn't work, then re-attach the seat and try pulling it up by grabbing under it's base.
