Anchor sizing

I just bought a 2008 Hurricane Sundeck 22 foot and it didn't come with an anchor.  

Any advice on size and type that works best for this size boat?

Anchor size and type is mostly dependent on the bottom structure of the lake or river you frequently visit. I personally use a chene type anchor and hope to catch a log or submerged brush. So far mine has worked under those circumstances.

I also have a Chene anchor (I went with the largest size, the price difference wasn't that much over the smaller sizes) and I use it on muddy and weedy bottom and its been working great.

I have a 22' also. On my BiL's recommendation (has the same boat) I bought this:
http://fortressanchors.com/selection-guide/fortress?Length=16&Unit=Feet  (multiple online sources) I was a little taken aback when it came because of how light it is, but it has really dug in & I have been very pleased with how it has held on a sand bottom.

Because we knew we'd be making trips to areas with other type bottoms I bought the 25 lb version of this http://www.richteranchors.com/ and have it set up to change out quickly on the bow with this type of stainless steel connector http://www.atlweldingsupply.com/18-Chain-Quick-Link-Connector_p_4465.html, but have it set up mostly as a 2nd stern anchor for use at the crowded sandbar to keep from swinging.

I like the design of that Richter anchor.  One of the reasons I chose the Chene was that it was able to fit through my anchor locker door.  I originally bought a Danforth anchor, but I couldn't get it to fit into the anchor locker.

Does the Richter fit in your anchor locker?

Not with just a drop in.  I have to drop part-way in and then tilt it a bit.  The flukes stick out just enough to make that necessary. But it does fit.

Oh, and the smaller Fortress fits great, just the right width for the grips in the locker.
