Motor shutting off

i was on the lake going full speed and the motor just shut off. I would turn it off and the boat would start up again and go about 150 yards and shut off again. I had to do this 5-6 to make it back to Marina. Any ideas on the problem? Oil light or engine light never came on. Thanks.

Start by cleaning all battery connections (on battery and motor).

Should have also added, if your connections are fastened to the battery with wing nuts, replace them with hex nuts.

Does it matter whether you're idling or higher rpms? Could be fuel related.2002 FD196F/Yamaha 115
