Bilge pump question

My 2012 SS211 came equipped with a Par-Max 2.9 water system pump which works great but apparently is not automatic. My question is should I add a switch and is that an easy fix OR should I just get an automatic installed with a suggestion for a model.
Thanks

Adding a float switch isn't difficult at all. You provide a constant power source from battery to the switch, and then from the switch to the pump.

Alternatively, if you decide to replace it with a bilge pump with an automatic float switch, I like the Johnson pumps
