Hello,
I have a 1999 237 FD and have been enjoying it for 2 years now. This year, however, I hear occasionally an alarm sound when towing. I stop turn off the motor and then it is gone. What is this?

you'd have to supply more specifics about your engine. On a 2 stroke engine, it could be a low oil alarm for the oil mixed with fuel. It could also be an alarm indicating high engine temperature or various other components.
