My front live well will not work, I have a 2 position switch and two control values, anyone know the orientation of these? My rear well works fine it's just the front

@obxsam, same boat same issue. It was driving me crazy. First try priming it by putting a garden hose In the drain and run the system on recirculate. Then fill the well with the hose and let it run. That worked for me. You could also try priming it by putting it in the fill position and run in reverse but the garden hose method works best for me. It's a recurring problem. My guess is that the hose has a dip in it causing an airlock. I had one other issue that I describe below.

First I went to the Flow Right website to make sure I was using the switch correctly.
Fill - will fill system with lake water. Left in that position it will maintain the level when the boat is still but the system will drain when the boat is on plane
Empty - will empty the system as long as the pump is in the off position
Recirc - will recirculate water that is in the live well and will maintain the level even when the boat is underway. This is the only position that will maintain the water level at all times.
Now the fix: I primed the system by filling the bait box with water from my hose. Ran the system in Recirc and then was able to draw from the lake on Fill. This is not bad considering most will start out with bait in a pail of water that they will dump in the bait well.
One last thing and I don't know if your crew did this in the last fix or if it was delivered this way; the valve was reversed. Fill was Recirc and Recirc was Fill. I had to remove the cable at the valve and reverse the switch direction. I found that fix on the website as well. The valve has a top and bottom position for the lever. I literally had to remove the lever and flip it 180°. I attached the cable to the lever, now on the bottom. It was on top before I flipped the lever. That seems to have made things right.

You will need to trouble shoot with a local Hurricane Dealer. This line could be pinched or have a pea trap causing this to lose prime. To locate a Dealer please visit our website at www.hurricaneboats.com and place your zip code in the upper right hand corner for a list of Dealers in your area

Thanks for the advice, my dealer is 4 hours away do you have any information on the switch position?

Jumping Jeepers - I had the same issue, front live well not filling and confusion over switch settings. Found relief by dumping a bucket of water into front live well to obtain a "prime". Seems to work. Did not know realize the well empties when in fill position running on plane - will need to test that one. Also, the magic bullet seems to be leave in Recirculate and the well holds water regardless of boat activity - will need to test that too. Great description - this live well thing has truly been frustrating

Thanks for the comments, got to dig deeper to see what's up with my front livewell.....it won't prime backing up or filling it with a hose.

Thank you all for posting this. I just got my Sundeck SS 211 2015 and have front well not filling but I an hear pump run. Rear fills fine. Will try priming.

check to see if there is slack in the line going to the front live well - this could be causing a p trap in the line

Its an old thread by im new to the issue. Mine is a 2020 sd187 (new to me) with only one live well up front. But the switch has only one position. The pump runs fine, I've tried running water in the drain and I've tried filling the well but the pump just runs and nothing seems to be happening.

Double check to make sure the live well valve is in the open position. (located in bilge compartment)
