Is there anyone in this group who might know if the deck surface dimensions and railing configurations changed over the production run of the 196? I realize that size and shape of deck storage openings may have changed but those kinds of changes would not necessarily alter seating base positions. Anyone, anyone?

I am checking into rather a mid 90"s is the same as 2004. Seems answers are weak on the forum at times.

The 90's boat would be the same as a 2004 - this model did not change until 2022 when the model switched to a 1960

My FD196 is a 2012 model. I have seen other boats on this forum that were called FD196 but had different seat and railing configuration from mine. I think the hull mold is the same for all.

They have different configurations - there is a 3 gate - 4 gate and a fish model
