This past May,I bought a new 2017 188 SS with 150 yammie. Upon taking the boat out of the lake, I noticed 6 gel coat blisters (full of water) at the lower transom of the boat. I called the dealer and he will fix under warranty, in the spring. Anybody else have this problem? Poor quality control ??. K never had this problem with my searay which I owned for 23 years.
Also, cant buy a bimini top anti sway bar. Discontinued by hurricane. STUPID !!!!!

Sorry to hear that. I have 2014 188 SS with same motor. No gel coat problems for us. Should be very fixable.

longlake, what is your top speed and what size prop are you using. I guess it is stainless steel? Thanks

49 mph. It's stainless steel but I'm not sure of the pitch. Dealer installed.

I had several blisters on the hull of my 2010 SS188. Hurricane fixed it by shipping boat back to factory. Traded it in after that so don't know how it held up.

Update Gel Coat Blisters, My 188SS bought new in 2017 now has hundreds of small pencil sized gel coat blisters, all along the bottom of the boat along both chimes. Dealer says no warranty coverage past 2 years. Customer service at Hurricane, no response, CRICKETS. I was told my dealer never saw this on late model Hurricanes. I am **** !! I will try and post pictures,
