Sling style boat lift

I'm having a dock with boathouse built and will need to use a sling style lift as a result of shallow depth at low tide. The depth at low tide is 16" at the bow and 28" at the stern.

Should I be concerned about possible damage or stress on the hull of my 2012 Sundeck 2000 OB?

You can use a sling lift as long as the weight is distributed properly.

We are purchasing our first Hurricane Deck boat.  Can anyone provide the correct placement of the sling support for a 2015 Hurricane Sundeck 188 OB?  Should the slings be placed at 40% LOA and 85% LOA from the bow towards the stern and transom support?  Is there a required width for the sling support?  And finally, should the slings touch the rub rails or be wider than the width of the hull through the use of a larger spreader bar?
