Fishfinder Location?

I recently bought a 2015 Sundeck 217 and prior to even using it bought a 9 inch Simrad GPS/Fish finder in a black Friday sale. Where is there a location to mount it without blocking half your dash or completely Jerry rigging it? A 7 inch would have the same issue. Also, I have a Merc 4 stroke, is the transducer normally mounted on the starboard side towards the center where the hull is flat? Many Thanks
