Trolling Motor Mount

I was somewhat disappointed that the engineers didn't figure for how a Minnkota trolling motor was suppose to retract when mounted. They came up with a quick fix using a piece of aluminum sheet metal to gain the height needed to clear the front bow. Well I bought one but waited awhile before installing. Big mistake as the metal was bent wrong and if I were to use it, my motor would have been on a slight angle. The edges were sharp and could cut someone if they were to slip. Lastly, the bracket was not pleasing to the eye so I decided to create my own design. I used 1/2" aluminum with champhered edges and radius on all corners. I had it powdercoated in a flat black to match the motor. Here I'd the final product.
