Hour meter on new FD198

I bought a new deck boat early May this year. The hour meter worked when I ran it but when I turn off the engine and restart, the hour meter resets back to zero. The dealer is 150 miles away but he claims Hurricane has agreed to replace the gauge. It has been almost three months. I continue to try to communicate with the dealer but he claims it is Hurricane that is dropping the ball. The dealer is Yowell’s Boat Yard in Waco, Texas. Can I get Hurricane to check into this and provide some useful information?

You can reach out direct to Faria. They have issued a service bulletin on this gauge.

Had the same issue with my 2019 188 SS. When I brought it back to the dealer for 20 hour service they ordered a new one from Hurricane and replaced it for free. Once Hurricane issued the Service Bulletin all they have to do is order the part.
