150hp suzuki enough power for 217 ob- 8-9 people in boat, pulling tube etc

I was considering buying a 218 ob equipped with a 150hp engine.... I got nervous worrying about being under powered for the times we have more people on the boat, ice chest and extra stuff in general and trying to pull kids on tubes etc. I have read other forums regarding this issue and I dont want to make wrong decision...
So, I found a 217 in another state with a 200 hp and looking to get it but I thought I would see what others experiences have been with a similar boat and similar situation I am describing. The other benefit to the 217 is it has a windshield... which will come in handy I am sure. I just wish the dealer near me had the boat I want.
