Just bought this boat. Also just picked up the vessel view mobile harness. There is basically no info anywhere on where to find the plugged connector to hook it into. I looked all over the engine and find nothing. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I have a Mercruiser, but have not installed this system yet.  From what I have researched, the connector sits on top of the engine, you may need to remove the top engine cover in order to see/access it.  Look at the wire harness(es) on top of the engine.  The connector is supposed to/may have a yellow end cap on it.
Here's links to a couple of videos that may help you locate and see what the connector looks like:

Maybe take pictures you can share with the forum when you install it!  Any Mercrusier owner who doesn't have this system yet (like me) would appreciate it!

I’ll take another peek this morning. Yesterday I dug around in the hatch for 20 minutes and couldn’t find it. Wasn’t sure if something was connected to it and ran over to the cockpit in a hurricane.

So after watching the YouTube’s and spending all this time looking for a loose harness connector somewhere I was about to give up and eureka! Instead of being loose it’s attached to the side of the circuit breaker on the bow side of the motor. Red cap facing straight up. It looked like part of the circuit breaker which is why I didn’t notice it at first. Popped off the red cap hooked on the merc module and works like a champ. I was surprised how far off the RPM gauge is after testing it out. Sometimes it’s over 1200 rpm off.

Your tachometer has the ability to be adjusted.  I attached the inboard engine installation manual so you can see what I mean.

Faria has a pretty good assortment of reference material you can review as well on their website:
