Boat Naming

Input on is it worth naming your boat?  From what I have read, it is good for VHF communications.  Other than that, I think it just helps to give something a name.  Just got a boat with no name so thinking of naming it.  Thoughts?

I always liked the idea of naming the boat.  Haven't come up with the cool sounding phase yet.

Also always wondered if it hurt re-sale value (not that I'm ready to sell the boat anytime soon), especially if it was put on in a way that makes it hard to get off.......... just thinkin'

Just named my new to me boat.  I had a decal made that will come of easy if necessary...
