CC21 locker drains

Noticed the port side below deck locker was not draining (2018 CC21 with pumpout lav). I found that the drain line feeds into the corresponding port side macerator pump. Running the pump while pushing water through cleared things up but.....draining a locker through a macerator pump? Why? Is a plumbing diagram available anywhere for this boat?

normally there on the side or rear of the boat beside the drain plug or midway from top to bottom of the boat on either side of the boat.
