Boat Cover

Last fall I bought a 2003 Fundeck GS201 from a friend. He called me last weekend because he found the cover which I went over and picked up and installed on the boat. It rained and I noticed some ponding on the cover. So I was wondering if there are poles that are supposed to go under the cover. If so does anyone know where I could find them. There seem to be 3 spots in the cover that lead me to believe that there should be some sort of pole system. Thank you in advance

Yes, looks like you need 2 supports, one positioned under the playpen section, the other in the middle of the helm seating area.
Poles are adjustable to compensate for cover stretch. They are available from most marine suppliers like West Marine, Defender, Overton's etc.
Here's an idea what they look like. This happens to be from Defender Marine's website: https://www.defender.com/product.jsp?id=109108

You can’t just buy a pole to ensure that the cover doesn’t sag or collect water, instead, you can buy boat cover support system. Apart from the pole, you also have to think about the expertise of a certain support system. Some of them are made to keep out thick snow. Others are good at hindering rainwater from creating a pond on the cover.

Good info …I recently purchased a FD 248 OB and it came with the cover but no support rods. Does anyone know if/where custom fit snap-on covers can be purchased?

I was having difficulty finding a custom-fit cover for our new 2018 Bulls Bay CC 230 as it’s a newer brand and size but this StormPro T-Top boat cover works perfectly. The 22’-24’ length was spot on for our 23’. The sides fit just fine but could have been just a few inches longer. It was surprisingly easy to put on. The front and back zip together on the left and right at the center console. A clip runs across the back of the motor keeping the corners together.

Your boat seems to need a support pole. You should try this one from iCover. It will keep the rainwater from collecting on the boat cover, there are six pieces of poles that are fully customizable.
