2007 GS 172 Transom

Just picked up a 2007 FunDeck GS 172 that needs quite a bit of work. The previous owner had some fiberglass work done on the starboard side transom but it was never completely finished. From the inside I can see that there is supposed to be some type of hole in the rear where the repair is. It's now been patched over with fiberglass on the outside and is solid wood if I put my finger in the hole. Just trying to figure out what needs to be finished here. I have been trying to look at photos through Google but haven't been able to narrow down exactly what is supposed to be there. Thanks for any help!

Finally found a decent image, circled in red is what is missing from mine. What is it?

Someone suggested this might be a scupper valve. Was this model self bailing? That would make sense then.

i think it's either the drain plug or possibly the live well draw port (I.E.) if you have a live well that is otherwise I'm not really sure ???
