Hour meter jumped from 195 hours

My 2021 SS192 hour meter (made by Faria) jumped from about 36 hours to 230 hours without the outboard running.
The was not in the ignition. I think these gauges measure voltage to decide if engine is running or not.
Anyone heard of this before or how to fix?
