Gas tank inspection plate placement

I have a 9” inspection plate that I would like to install so that I can replace supply hoses, vent line hose and sending unit. I would also like to flush the present tank. Is there a better place to install this so that I can easily reach everything? Or do I need a bigger inspection plate?
