One long beep

Hello everyone! I'm new to the forum and I'm hoping you can help me.
I have a fundeck with a 200 Yamaha VMAX outboard. Unfortunately I bounced the prop around on some rocks last week. I replaced the prop and everything seems to be working fine. Except every so often I get a long solid beep from the dash. Almost like the safety tether isn't engaged. After about a minute or two, it stops. I've been going various speeds when this happens. It's spitting water so I don't think it's overheating.
Any ideas?

It’s likely overheating. My 250 did the same only at slow speeds when the water pump housing couldn’t get enough water through because it melted a little closing the water passage. I’d pull your lower unit and check the pump housing and impeller. Mine fried running it on muffs. Mine was still spitting water fine but it was an overheat alarm
