Lever under opening at back of boat.

There is a tube going out the back under the motor area that has a red handled lever that has always been horizontal to the bottom of the boat. does anyone know what the lever is for?

Do you have a live well? If so that would be the water intake valve

Live well is at the front of boat and this is at the back of boat. When on the trailer, I can turn lever down and water under the back seat will drain more quickly.
