As we are winding down the boating season in the middle Atlantic states, it is time to check your trailer. When I took my boat out last year I found that one of the cross members had rusted through and failed. Fortunately it was in my driveway by the time I found it had failed. The obvious rust was underneath so I never saw the extent of the rust until too late. Cheap fix to what could have been nasty ending. Much easier to replace the cross member when the boat is off the trailer...
