2013 sun deck4.3l mercruiser oil pressure

my 4.3l mercruiser loses oil pressure over 4000 rpm. I can drive the boat for hours with no oil pressure issues. even pull tubers as long as i stay under 4000 rpms. Once i cross the 4000 rpm threshold, pressure starts dropping, until alarms go off, and engine drops to idle. I can restart boat and drive as oil pressure comes back to 40 psi.
