Removing Rail Fencing and replacing?

My 2004 196R has severe damage to the fence railing.
I found a good complete set of railings for $500.00
I was moving forward with it until reading on the forum it looks like the rail was bolted through the top cap or floor prior to being assembled.
Has anybody done this or have SOLID "lol" words of wisdom?

These are not too difficult to change in the field. Of course this is a process - the furniture will need to be removed - rail removed - new rail installed and furniture reinstalled. Its a project but not too crazy to change out. I think normal time is about 2-3 hours per rail.
