Is it normal to have a faint gas smell in storage cubbies and bilge

Every time I work in the life or open storage areas I smell a faint but noticeable gas odor. If things are stored long term the eventually absorb age smell. Is this normal. I have A 2005 fun deck GS202. With a Yamaha 150 outboard and 40 + gallon tank

I would suggest reaching out to a local Hurricane dealer for inspection of the fuel system to verify all items are operating properly.
