Does your open windshield hit the Bimini support on your 187 deckboat?

We have a new to us 2022 187 SD. When putting the Bimini top up for the first time today, we were surprised that when we opened the windshield, it hit the Bimini support. The previous owner obviously ignored this as both the Bimini support and the windshield have rub marks. Has anyone solved this issue and can tell us how? Thanks in advance for any help!
