OK, maybe the stereo is not the most important item of equipment on board, but I thought mine needed a little more kick. The factory radio had rear output jacks, so I stuck a Pyle PLMRBS8 600W marine powered subwoofer inside the console on my FD196. It lined up so nice with one of the screws on the vent grill that I only had to drill three holes. Can't post a picture, but it looks good. Nicely enhanced bass now, but when I open the door to the console compartment, LOOK OUT! It thumps like a carwash on Saturday night. Seems like the closed compartment has a strong damping effect. Anybody else improving the sounds on your Hurricane?

Sounds good, but when I open the console door it sounds like Saturday night at the car wash!
