I had a new trailer built for my 1998 196R Fundeck. Aluminum, tandem axle. The builder installed 2 long bunks that support each side of the boat about a foot in. No center bunks. My question is, do I need center bunks to support the keel or is just the outer bunks fine. The boat loads and unloads fine. I cant seem to find one to compare to. Thanks.

I have a SS188 with center bunks.
However I personally know two owners who have a 226R and a 201 and both use trailers with outer bunks only. So, I think if the weight is carried well on the outer bunks, then you should be fine
