livewell question

I have a 2008 fundeck fishing edition. I have the type of livewell that sprays the water in, and the drain has a tube that screws into the bottom. what do I do to help keep fish and bait alive? its a pain to have to go and turn the switch on and off just to circulate some water. ive thought about just adding a battery operated aerator, but not sure how to mount it and ive read that its better to recirculate the water than to aereate it. my switch has a 'livewell 1" and "livewell 2". is this to add another livewell if you wanted, or is livewell 2 for things like an aerator or another pump or something?

On some models you can get an optional 2nd livewell. I think they just set the switch up to work 1 or 2.
You can get battery operated aerator kits. I think the only problem would be where to get power form. On my boat I think I could locate a small 12 volt battery in the anchor locker for the aerator pump.

@jagtr ... here's the response from Terri in Hurricane Customer Support:The livewell system that you have does not have the aerate option. You can install a different system from Flow Rite that would offer this fill / recirculate / empty – set up.

put a switch on that turns it off and on and can be adjusted for amount of time
