Hour Meter
Just recently purchased a 2013 Hurricane Fundeck 198 equiped with a 150 Yamaha Four Stroke. When I took it out for it's break in I noticed that the digital hour meter is not working. The hour meter is built in with the non digital tac. It powers up, but only shows 0.0. I know I've ran the motor at least 3 to 4 hours. Any sugestions?

I'd contact the dealer and either have them connect the hour meter for you or purchase the separate monitor for that engine (digital display) that would read direct from the onboard computer on the engine. It will give you the accurate readings and other useful information. I'm not sure what Yamaha calls their system, but it gives you lots of additional information such as RPMs, engine temp, etc.
At minimum, the hour meter on the boat should've been connected.

@cpkwilson. Great to hear your dealer is taking care of you.
The other meter I was referring to was not to replace your onboard hour meter, just a secondary control center that in addition to displaying hours, will give you additional engine information that the engine tracks but you cannot normal get without a computer, etc. Certainly a nice to have, but not a necessity.
Enjoy your boat!

@cpkwilson ... here's the response from Terri in Hurricane Customer Support:Yes, this should be showing the hours. This sounds like a defective hour meter. If you contact the purchasing dealer they will be able to provide a replacement gauge.

Thanks for your reply. I've contacted my dealer and they said they take a look. They said it possibly could not have been hooked up during rigging. As far as buying another meter. I don't think so. That's what warranty better be good for.
