New Hurricane 188 OB

On my new Hurricane on the tach it has the hour meter, I believe its hours not miles, There was a blinking what appeared to be an hour glass, Is this correct, I don't see were it looks like an alarm? Im new to boating so any help would be great.

    I would think it means the hour meter is running. Not sure though.

    The gauge is made by Faria, it blinks the hour glass when tracking (engine is operational) and is in fact recording hours.  This is not an alarm simply an indicator that you're engine is running and recording hours of usage.
