Throttle control

The throttle control unit on my ss188 isn't tight against the gunwale. It's a yamaha control and I have a f150 engine. Is there a way to tighten it up? There is a little cover that pops off with a screw under it. That screw is tight. I can't seem to find any manuals online for it.

Does anyone have a fix to permanently tighten this? Mine does the same thing. A boat mechanic re positioned it and the front screw again stripped out in 2 hours. Thanks.
