2007 GS 202 speedometer questions

This post concerns two questions related to speedometer issues.

In 2015 I purchased a 2007 GS 202 which came from Florida (currently in use in Indiana).  The boat was equipped with a Faria speedometer (other gauges are also Faria).  Recently we did some sunset water skiing and I had the opportunity to use the NAV lights. The backlights of all the gauges were visible except the speedo.  Typically the gauge lights are not needed since we do only daytime water activities.

I've included a picture of the speedo, so if anyone knows the model number I'd like to acquire an owners manual.  Also, how do I change the gauge light/LED or is it even possible.

Secondly I'd like to know how this speedo produces a signal.  Is it from a hole in the front of the Yamaha 150 lower unit sending pressure to an electronic module in the engine compartment?  There's no pitot tube sensor on the rear hull so I'm pretty sure the speedo is electronic.

As a back story the boat came equipped with two transducers on the rear of the hull.  One was for the equipped Lowrance M68 depth gauge and the other for an Out of Service Garmin device.  The M68 was able to indicate speed but the LCD screen had a dark spot on the screen so I replaced it with a Lowrance Hook2 depth gauge and removed the old Garmin cable and transducer.

Any information and assistance would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Most likely, it is a GPS speedo.

Your speedometer is electronic and gets its signal from a pitot tube on the lower unit of your Yamaha 150, not the hull. The water pressure is converted to an electrical signal by a sender.

For the light, the lens usually pries off. The bulb is likely a standard replaceable type behind the gauge face. Check for a small bulb or LED module.

Since the gauge works but has no backlight, the issue is just the bulb/LED itself, not the signal.
