Access to Gauges (Tach & Speedo) on SS 185 (2023 model)

With no visible access door or cover, how does one access the back side of the gauges on the SS 185? Mine is a 2023. My tach is reading about 1000 rpm higher than it should. At idle, the tach is indicating about 1700 rpm. The engine is idling at 700 according to factory specs (Merc 115 CT 4-stroke).

Wow, support on this forum is DEAD! So much for Hurricane factory support!

The gauge cluster is likely a single unit. You'll need to gently pry the entire bezel or cluster assembly out from the front to access the back of the gauges. There are usually clips holding it in place.Your tachometer may need its setting adjusted. Check the dip switches on the back of the tach to ensure they are set correctly for your Mercury 4-stroke engine (likely 12-pulse mode).

You can remove the bow backrest in front of the helm to obtain an access port for access.
