My ski locker lid is splitting in half.

A new one is $375.00 plus shipping. dimensions are 19 1/4 x 46. Any one see this issue. How did you fix it?

I actually just fixed mine. The top side of my hatch looked great. The bottom side had a huge crack that ran pretty much the length of the hatch. When you stepped on the hatch you could feel it flex.
I didn't want to spend the money for a new hatch either so I went out to my local Ace Hardware which sells fiberglass material. I put three layers of fiberglass on the bottom side while applying pressure using "C" clamps and a ratchet strap. I cut the material so that it pretty much covered the bottom side. I probably would have put a fourth layer but the resin was starting to harden.
FYI, this was my first time working with fiberglass. The bottom side of the hatch doesn't look pretty but it is really solid. I really didn't care what the bottom looked like because nobody can see it until you open it. No flex or bend when standing on it. It cost me about $20 because I bought much more cloth than needed.

TY. I used a product called G-Flex. I used a grinder to make a channel and then filled it. So so good. We just tell everyone not to walk on mid hatch. Not pretty but effective also

Wish I would of read this thread before today. I just had fiberglass shop fix my crack and reinforce at a cost of 400$

I also made one from 3/4 ply. Traced the old lid and belt sanded the snot out of it to get it to thickness. Have not used it yet 1yr later the gflex is holding up
