Lost seat back cushion while trailering Hurricane

    Anybody still there? Just bought a 2002 GS 201 and on way home from dealer seat back over engine compartment blew away. No doubt Hurricane won't have these anymore, right?  What's best way to get it custom made? Anybody have dimensions and pic for me to help me get this done? Otherwise it's gonna be plywood  and some sofa cushions with lots of Velcro.

    I lost my back cushion this weekend, who and or where did you get a replacement from?

    Is this a regular problem across the Hurricane line? On my 2016 2200 DC OB, the bottom cushions can be pulled up easily to get to the storage compartments, but they seem secure enough while trailering.  The rear back cushions are attached firmly to the boat and I can't even see the proper method to remove them.

    M99, the upper part of the cushions definitely come out.  If you pull straight up on them they move.  They have offset metal brackets that are fastened to the boat, the brackets are slid inside round holes on the back of the cushions.  I've had all of mine out for cleaning.

    Thanks Tim.  I'll take another look the end of the week when it stops raining. It did seem like they had to come out, but I thought it best to ask someone that knew how before breaking something trying on my own. Mine seem pretty secure for trailering, so I wonder if Hurricane made some improvements in the last few years.

    Happened to me yesterday on the way home. Lost the rear back cushion on my 2004 sd187.  Hoping Veada can help as Godfrey can't.  Very bummed about this.

    I always remove that back cushion out of my SD187. Had it end up on deck after a highway trip before. I'd guess Hurricane still makes the replacement since they still make the model.

    The new 187 has a different back rest setup then my model.  VEADA no longer does custom work, even if they originally made the seats.  I'm waiting on Godfrey to call me back as my local dealer (4 hours away) doesn't have a part number.

    I always take mine out and stow it in front of the capt chair or in my car.  The slide locks vibrate so much that it started to crack the fiberglass and I have had to replace 2 of the slides under warranty.  Bought one last year, $!7 for one barrel slide from Hurricane, yikes!

    Had that problem with my 2013 187 they bounced loose but luckily they fell inside the boat. this happened on my first trip from GA to the FL keys when the boat was 5 months old. on the return trip I put all the cushions in the truck. After i returned I had our local upholstery shop make me some straps that snapped in to a couple of snaps I installed on each side just about cushion height and I never had an issue again.
