planing issue

We recently purchased a 2011 188 sun deck with a Yamaha 115 four stroke. The boat doesn't plane well. It has the recommended prop. Any suggestions?

I'd suggest you not worry as much with changing props and potentially consider using Smart Tabs

Do the Smart Tabs impede with the rear boarding ladder?

That would be an issue with the rear boarding ladder however the ProTroller setup might be what you can use (you'd have to speak to the Customer Service to verify)
These would allow you when using the ladder to simply move it out of the way to prevent obstruction of the ladder

on my 188 they did not
