Is it okay to mix Ethanol Free gas with E10 gas?

A Boat Repair Facility told me today that adding Ethanol Free gas to my boat would cause the Regular Gas (E10) to gel. This doesn't sound right!

My best advice: Try to avoid ever putting fuel containing ethanol into your boat. If there is blended fuel in the boat (E10 or E15), burn it up as fast as possible and refill with ethanol-free fuel. No problem with mixing them, but burn as much as you can to get rid of it first. Ethanol will cause all sorts of problems that may not show up until later, like rotten fuel hoses, brittle rubber fuel pump diaphragm, corroded brass parts in carburetors, old sludge deposits loosened so they clog the fuel system, the list is long and expensive. Ethanol is the devil. If your boat is fuel injected, not so bad but still the risk of water contamination. That's why marinas sell ethanol-free fuel.

Just buy an appropriate Racor water separating filter, be prepared to service same, and go boating. Been there and done all that on quite few vessels. Just buy the filter and don't worry about it. Finding non-ethanol fuel is an exercise in self abuse.

I use non-ethanol gas in mine, but I have a buddy that swears by using the additives (enzyme removal) with the ethanol gas. He has been doing it for 5-6 years and has never had any issues with his. Anyone ever heard of doing this?
