Unhappy wander

Recently purchased a 2017 Hurricane with a 150 Yamaha. Nice right? Problem is the major lack of steering in a no-wake zone. Darned thing likes to wander. I looked into whale tails and smart tabs from Nauticus but don't want to make a stupid purchase and put holes in the boat, you know, for nothing. Anyone else having this problem or a fix?

Thanks guys. I've found that seating passengers in the rear helps. Also, at 1,200 rpm's, there is no wake and improves direction.

Yep, put the passengers in the back, and be sure the motor is trimmed all the way down.

Late to the Party here! does anyone have more insight on the smart tabs? Hurricane 198 with Yamaha 115, It does seem slow to plane, and definetely wanders at no wake speed, should I make the purchase and install? is there a better smart tab than another? (stainless vs. composite? thanks in advance!

I found that putting on a steering wheel knob helped immensely when wandering thru no wake zones.
